VMware announces its intent to acquire SaltStack

I hope they keep the Salt Cloud stuff open, that was handy for driving on-prem hypervisors that weren't running vSphere. (Although, it gives a good reason not to buy vSphere, I guess).

What is VMware getting from this acquisition?<p>Also, who is going to buy Puppet?
