I get the impression that the semiconductor industry is slowly disappearing from the US, and even from the West as a whole. It'll be a lot harder to regain that expertise than it is to lose it.

TL&#x2F;DR (or you can&#x27;t get pass the paywall) - Intel is in talks with SK Hynix to sell the non-volatile memory solutions group (NSG) to SK Hynix for ~$10B. It&#x27;s not clear if this is just the NAND business or if it includes Optane technology as well. If there&#x27;s any official confirmation of this, it&#x27;ll come after the markets close at 4pm Eastern time...
