So pg_cron is a useful job scheduler and it&#x27;s true that so many Postgres people use it &amp; appreciate it... But the part I like best about this new 1.3 version of pg_cron is the bit about the open source collaboration between Microsoft and the RDS team and Zalando.<p>This is how open source should be done.

Nice! Having job names and an audit log for job runs are both very useful features and go a long way in allowing people to monitor Postgres cron jobs more easily.
