Show HN: How Many People Have Voted?

Like many of you, the Election on Tuesday is front of mind, and will be for a few days after :-&#x2F;<p>I was thinking about the number of people that actually vote, and with more states allowing early voting, I wondered how it would affect participation in the election (given the current pandemic).<p>I was able to find the raw data on <a href="http:&#x2F;&#x2F;www.electproject.org&#x2F;" rel="nofollow">http:&#x2F;&#x2F;www.electproject.org&#x2F;</a> but wasn&#x27;t happy with how it was being displayed, so I created my own visualization.

This looks really cool! Some feedback:<p>I don’t understand exactly what the colors are. Is it 2016 results, with darker shades being more extreme? Is it 2020 polls? Something else?<p>I would like an option to sort alphabetically so that I can quickly find particular states. For example, it was hard for me to find PA which is very important this election, because I overestimated its turnout and had to scan through most of the list (also, yikes!).
