I looked around to find the state of the art in WASM demos and they’re around 2-3 years old.
There doesn’t seem to be much development activity or obvious well known WASM projects. People don’t seem to be talking much about how they’re building stuff with WASM.
I thought there might be UI/graphics for building applications. Couldn’t see much.
WASM seems to have gone nowhere.
Why?
> Why?
Maybe your search terms, there's been plenty of WASM related activity this year. The rust community seems to be pretty active in that regard and .NET with the Blazer framework as well. HN also consistently has WASM related content on the frontpage, the search function below has date filtering if you're interested.
Not sure but I can hazard a guess that people haven't gotten over the new shiny Js framework that gets released every few weeks!
It seems like the right thing to do though. Would be curious to hear what others have to say.
Full UI/graphics isn't really the primary focus of WASM as far as I know, and the DOM integration is still not finalized. It's perfectly usable for other purposes already.
