I understand that US banks are not in an enviable position here. As the article mentions, they don't want to run afoul of US sanctions towards Venezuela by facilitating transfers between people connected to Maduro. Still, I hope that they do not crack down too tightly and allow Venezuelans to continue to use their services. With their local currency effectively worthless, being able to transact in dollars is literally a lifeline for many people. (Unfortunately there are many more who don't have even that)
