This is very broad question. I would love to know how blogging has helped you throughout your career whether its building an audience or attracting more recruiters
My blog has next to zero professional value, aside from experimenting with web technologies that I don't use at work. As for the actual posts, it's only meant to enhance my writing skills. No one has read it and wanted to hire me because of it.
Blogging helped me a ton. I got a few freelance opportunities from people who read my blog. I also was able to use it to advertise some material I was working on (course, book) to make some money (few thousand $).
During one recruitment process, I've got passed through initial steps, because the hiring company already knew my answers about some topics (I've learned about it later, when I was speaking with other devs who were working there).
Also in the past I've received multiple offers to create book/course about the technology I feel comfortable with, but I've declided (so I'm not sure if that counts)
I post rather sporadically, whenever I have something of use or interesting to add.
I was asked to speak at the local Python meetup because of that. I discovered more friends through that.
