Worth knowing whether you are pro- or anti- Pornhub specifically or porn in general.

The CSAM numbers are presented awkwardly. The FB numbers suggest FB is way worse, but the FB and Twitter numbers are platform reported rather than externally identified.<p>FB and Twitter make more reports and publish more transparently. I’d also wager that reports = (all content #)<i>(prevalence rate of CSAM)</i>(detection sensitivity)*(reporting rate) and FB&#x2F;TWTR probably have infinitely higher first terms, and better 3 and 4th terms in the equation.

What I find interesting about this whole pornhub discussion is that nobody is at all mentioning the vast amounts of videos with unwilling participants in them that are across sites like pornhub. Do you remember when the whole internet was outraged over reddit&#x27;s creepshots subreddit? the amount of urinal spy, locker room spy and nudist beach spy videos on these sites is huge! Why does nobody care?

Porn existed before PornHub did, and will continue to exist after. Cutting them off payment networks will not have any meaningful effects (except in the short term).<p>On the bright side, people who pay for content are getting onboard the crypto train.

you mean pornhub users looking for child porn aren&#x27;t reporting it to the proper authorities? that is shocking. it&#x27;s also worthwhile to take all their stats at face value because they have such a strong track record of caring about anything other than a buck. next you&#x27;ll tell me cigarette companies may have tried similar stunts in previous generations and I&#x27;ll be equally shocked.

So NYT essentially let an editor post a libelous piece of work now that has cost a company a major source of revenue? What are the odds this isn&#x27;t going to turn into a lawsuit?
