Is it a good idea to play with your employees on such fun games? Or should manager stay away from such fun activities with team members?

I see from your post history that you might be a new manager, so first of all congrats!<p>Now, onto your question, yes absolutely, that's essentially how team-building works.

I'd say they must. Managers are team members as much as anyone else.
