Let&#x27;s not forget that being on a ventilator and under heavy sedatives can cause lingering neurological symptoms as well. I had a relatively mild case of COVID (SpO2 &gt; 95% throughout with zero respiratory symptoms). But I lost the ability to smell and taste.<p>I don’t have any lingering symptoms that I know of. But it feels like my mind has been on autopilot. I don’t feel the same level of intentionality behind my actions as I used to. Personally, I ascribe this to the nocebo effect (and lack of sleep due to college), but it’d be interesting to know whether it’s caused in part by the coronavirus.
