Last summer our neighbors here in in Cambridge moved to Portland ME for the summer, then sold their house and decided to make it permanent. But it took them literally a day to sell. The universities and the biotech labs aren't going anywhere.<p>But the trend of having an ever-increasing percentage of the population living in increasingly crowded coastal cities was unsustainable; some redistribution is good. It means exporting our gentrification issues to other places, and it's funny that the pandemic exodus has benefited states with the highest covid infection rates, but I guess nothing comes for free, right?
