Did anyone think those thermometers were more than "security theater"?<p>The one contactless thermometer I know of with approval for hospital use requires wiping the skin and aiming two separate beams until they line up for getting the distance correct.<p>People are using rebranded thermometers that are usually used to tell you what's hot and what's really really hot... think burn your skin off hot
