I have made a game halfchess.
I have been trying to get a facebook messenger approval for months and they keep rejecting my documents. The process is super unclear.
Here is a link to my discussion - https://docs.google.com/document/d/1h6neL87-kT6oYmcJkZuoGuEsUj7GqowmCOGMU-ywakg/edit?usp=sharing
>> Back in Nov last year, I completed my development sprint (halfchess for facebook messenger). Then, I tried to use my brothers company to register my app, because I did not have one. There were issues with accepting the documents, so I registered my own GST (this took 2-3 months). Now I am facing the same problems even when I have a GST registration.
Can someone help me with the process?
-
I might be jumping to conclusions here but,
I am wondering if it is specially hard to get approval for my app because I am based out of a developing country. I just want to ask here if anyone in US or Europe has also gone through similar difficulties with Facebook. More of a curiosity question, but they have such a big dev team based out of India. Should not be the case, but I cant believe the process is so shitty!
Fun anecdote, when the process is shitty, it means we are supposed to bribe past it. Can someone put me in touch with a person I need to bribe?
Naval (Halfchess.com)
Just an update. This was solved.
I matched my address and removed some extra documents I was providing for approval. It probably needed an exact string match for the address (for which I had to add Flat No to prefix).
I had also in parallel contact Facebook on slack and reached out to someone in the gaming side of the company via a senior person in game arena.
Finally am happy that halfchess is live on Facebook, though the whole process took several months - including the company registration (that too a good 2-3 months and Facebook approval that took around 20 days). I got a bit tense because the I was wondering why facebook is rejecting the app even though I have GST number. The whole thing took 4-5 months.
