WHO Points to Wildlife Farms in Southern China as Likely Source of Pandemic

I really don't understand how the word "wildlife" is used in this article. If it's being bred in captivity, on a farm, how is it "wildlife"? Perhaps it's a peculiar technical term or a literal translation of a Chinese expression.
