Facebook increases penalties for rule-breaking groups and their members

&gt; Facebook Groups that produce and share harmful, polarizing or even dangerous content.<p>It&#x27;s troubling how often &quot;false&quot; is left out of these descriptions. Like truthfulness is an afterthought. Will groups that produce &quot;beneficial&quot; or &quot;unifying&quot; content continue to be allowed to lie? Only those that spread &quot;harmful&quot; ideas will be held to any truth standard?

Positive move but will any real progress be made here? I doubt it.<p>FB groups have become a haven for loonies over the past couple years and this will only continue.
