Bridgeport BMW dealer decries state's 'Tesla Bill'

The organization and mode of operation of automotive dealerships bears more resemblance to an illegal cartel than a legitimate way of organizing a business. The fact that "traditional" dealerships are trying to influence lawmakers to maintain their cartel only furthers this perception.

I think this has much more to do with EV's in general than Tesla specifically. My state (KY) is one of the states that limit direct-to-consumer auto sales and I had to purchase my Model Y in Ohio. I would love to support my local community and visit an EV "showroom" in my neighborhood. However that won't be an option unless this bill, and others like it, pass legislation and become law.
