It’s official: Vaccinated people don’t transmit Covid-19

Misleading headline - the note at the top of the article states as much:<p>&gt;Vaccinated people can still be infected with the SARS-CoV-2 virus and suffer the symptoms of COVID-19...Taken together, this means vaccinated people are highly unlikely to transmit the virus when they are not suffering symptoms.

I had a pessimistic thought...if we observe that vaccinated people have a much smaller proportion of asymptomatic infections, maybe that means that vaccinating people is creating significant selective pressure towards more symptomatic and severe illness. I mean, I understand that for now, the vaccine greatly reduces serious illness. But <i>relatively speaking</i> it sounds like it is selecting for it and I wonder if we will see the effects in a few months.<p>To be clear, my speculation implies to me that it is if anything more urgent to get vaccinated, because the more people are vaccinated, the worse things will get for the unvaccinated.
