Two points.<p>I think the environmental argument against blockchain (or proof of work for that matter) is a very strong one. I'm not sure though if it is actually the best argument (I think blockchains are inherently useless for almost anything, regardless of reward function).<p>But the bigger point here.<p>What is exactly paying for in an NFT? If I "own" an NFT to a JPG do I have the legal power to enforce copy right infringements to this piece of art? Or is it just like baseball cards where I can proof that I own Jack Dorsey's first tweet? But someone else starts another NFT chain, my friend could own the same tweet?
