While this is a laudable goal, and in this case is really just taking back a word to a more original meaning, I still find myself recoiling at the suggestion of overtly manipulating public opinion by changing (and let's not kid ourselves) eventually policing language.<p>While that tactic seems to work, it also seems very destructive in how it works, and is very messy in that it catches many that aren't aware that their existing speech has been reclassified without their knowledge by large amounts of people as something else than what they intend to communicate.
