P.P.P.S. In his Feb 2021 essay "What I Worked On," pg says he was rejected by the MIT AI grad program. It's impossible to overstate how important this event is in startup/world history. At that time the MIT AI lab was the best AI lab in the the world by a huge margin so pg would've probably been sucked into a third-rate research job.
