I dropped out of a 4-year university when after my freshmen year realized that the things they would teach me on my senior year, I was already doing, or had already done to some extent in high school.
I decided to go to a technical school that could harness my skills and grow them at a rapid pace. I ended up graduating with an Associates degree in 14 months and was hired right out of school.
I easily paid off my student loans in five years and could honestly retire in a couple years at the age of 45.
There is one caveat to all of this...I never had children. :)
