My neighborhood crows may not be friends exactly but they’re friendly. I do occasionally leave out a bit of food, but well before that they began to recognize me as I trained my pup not to chase them. We moved from a city that didn’t have many to a city (Seattle) famous for them when she was about a year old, so it took some time to get her familiar with recognizing that some birds are different, but she definitely learned. And the crows appreciate the effort, even going so far as to give us passage when they see we have no way to go around them.
