For some weak definition of &quot;travel&quot;. Also, considering if it doesn&#x27;t breaks laws of physics then than can&#x27;t transport information.<p>The simplest example to illustrate such a scenario is a straight beach where the waves hit the shore with an angle. The point where the wave touches the shoreline advances sideways with a speed that is higher than the wave itself. But, it can transport information, mass or energy from on point to the other at arbitrarily high speeds.
