This example I find funny because to <i>me</i> the mac method makes sense. Cmd + Up/Down to go up or down file hierarchies, and Cmd + Down will also open files. For Windows it is Alt + Up to go up, but Enter to go down or open file. I find the symmetry of the mac binding more simple, but that doesn't mean that I don't adjust over time when on Windows.<p>Another bonus RE keybindings is that there are a number of system shortcuts that you can very easily change to your liking through System Preferences > Keyboard > Shortcuts, without any additional software.
