> But the “brain fog” that is one of the key issues reported by those suffering long-term consequences after a case of Covid could be related to exactly what this new research has found.
I can relate to the term “brain fog”.
One of my side effects of Covid was being more dumb than usual in a very unique way. With many sickness I have felt tired and less able to perform intellectual activities. But, with Covid, the feeling was just being more incapable of reasoning, and also affected my memory.
But, this is a realization I had afterwards, when I got better. At the time I underestimated the effects that the virus had on myself.
> we don’t know how many of the 180 million people worldwide are suffering from this or have increased risk of dementia or longer-term issues.
Now I feel completely recovered, but this is the scary part. I know that the effect in my brain had a measurable impact, I can only hope that it does not have long lasting consequences.
