I believe that can happen for every strong virus infection.<p>So the interesting question would be if it happens more often for covid, or if we just observe it more often because covid is so widespread.

There are several other coronaviruses that commonly affect humans, so I assume that these findings should be common to other coronavirus infections?<p>So many articles and stories in the media have been implying from the start of the outbreak that COVID-19 is some crazy new type of virus, rather a mutation of a virus that has been infecting people for centuries.
