I was recently scouted with a pretty good offer from a company and they looked good on paper. But their app had 1.4-1.5 ratings on yelp and tripadvisor with walls of text from people with bad experiences. Their glassdoor was 4.5 but filled with ridiculous amount of 3-word 5 star reviews. That was pretty shady and I declined.<p>The experience made me curious, what are your (not so obvious) red flags when job hunting?
A very long list of 'required' skills. I see required skills as things you'll need on day one. If there's a huge list it means there's no room to learn things as part of the job, which usually means that either you'll be running around with your hair on fire all the time fixing stuff, or that the company doesn't value training and improvement. Either way it's not good.
