Why Is the FDA Attacking a Safe, Effective Drug?

Bullshit article. the FDA isn&#x27;t attacking, they&#x27;re pointing out that a drug certified for treating roundworm and similar parasitic infections is not certified for treating COVID-19, and that relying on it for that purpose might turn out badly.<p>From the headline onwards, this whole article is concern trolling. Could Ivermectin have promise as a treatment? Perhaps so, but the non-trolling way to make that argument is to say &#x27;The FDA should consider this drug based on these [encouraging findings].&#x27;

I hypothesize that part of it is, if any existing drug prevents or treats Covid, then the Emergency Use Authorization is not allowed to be given by the FDA, and we would have to wait for full approval of vaccines, which has not happened yet<p>Also no Big Pharma profits if there is a widely used and available generic drug out there
