I've always asumed that whatever I do on my work laptop/email is monitored by my bosses/employers. That's why i only do work stuff on those, and anything personal on the devices I own.<p>This is explained very well in the quote in the article:
"Employees should assume that whenever they’re using work owned and issued equipment, anything that they may do – including written communications or websites they may visit – is subject to review"
