"Can't Get Your Out Of My Head" and "All Watched Over by Machines of Loving Grace" are both required viewing epics in my mind.<p>The contrast in this interview here, between a "Black Mirror" think-piece, and the expanded-mind reality viewing of a "Can't" is remarkable. I want to give full respect to Brooker, and I don't know where one would really begin to evince the deep, wild, strong currents of an Adam Curtis film from Adam, but the coverage feels superficial, glancing, a glossy commentary. His videos are so deep, so powerful. They speak to longer, wider conflicts & tensions, and this interview keeps trying to reduce the discussion to contemporary points. Adams videos skip around between time points, but in a way that shows continuity, show how ever-present the tensions have been: while we get to visit some contemporary points & places, that wider pan-optic view is not as strong in this interview as what AC videos I've seen.
