It’s ‘Back to That Isolation Bubble’ for Workers Pining for the Office

> Ms. Bakogeorge, 25, has cerebral palsy, a condition that causes chronic pain. Her daily walking commutes to the office, she said, provided a form of mild exercise that helped her cope.
SO... What prevents her from just walking normally the same amount she would have to go to the office? I can see what the reporter is trying to do, use the plight of a disabled person to make people feel bad for not wanting to go into the office, but come on. As a disabled person myself, I have far more time and money not having to pay for an Uber or ride 3X as long on public transit every day.

This "conversation" needs to change to overtly and before other considerations,
address the fact that it's not the office, even, that many people hate; it's the commute.
That is true for my family. I'm cool being in-office to see my co-workers, at least on a flexible basis;
it's the commute that is a MFPITA. This goes ten-fold for my wife whose company is notoriously backward wrt WFH policy and has been kicking and screaming to get people back to giving up hours a day to create that management-reassuring "buzz of the busy bees" so satisfying to extroverted social-reward-driven Type A types.

I always hated working in an office. People are messy and wreck everything. And then there is the group of people that come into work and get the rest of us sick.

You think since it's only 25% of people want to return to office in any form (PwC survey) , reporters have to scrounge to get quotes for these articles; somehow phrasing it like it's the common opinion of people? Like the number of people whom want to go back are akin to the number of people who view Donald Trump should/(will) be 'reinstated', yet I don't see that crap on the front page of NYtimes.
