I don't want to sign up to a £120/yr subscription just to read a single article, however would pay for unfettered and ad-free access to all newspapers. Apple News might go some way towards this, but not enough providers seem to be signed up yet.<p>It seems like music or films pre-Spotify and pre-Netflix, and I hope someone manages to create a startup in this space that can finally give the newspapers of another revenue model that works (and convince them to swap to it). Apple News goes somewhere towards this, but it still seems like there is a gap that could be closed.
