Everything coming from Russia Today (and widespread online troll farm disinformation) is highly questionable. It's only being created and published for the purpose of instigating doubt in a very perverted way. In the 'us' against 'them' kind of way.
"Healthy food mandate" is a made up topic backed by nothing and no-one. It's pure air. Industrial food apocalypse is real. But it's affecting the planet as a whole, not just parts of the US, the poor, or else.
Very real and important issues being distorted, warped and bastardized at their core, that's what we get when the 'free' Internet gets weaponized by the 'for profit' corporate and state actors, whatever and wherever they are.

As much as most the reporting done on RT.com is probably honest and truthful, there is an undeniable anti-American sentiment to be read between the lines. Just keep clicking on articles and you will sense it. By the way I am not an US citizen nor I subscribe to most of American international policies, democrat or republican, and I suppose this is the way the game is played. Journalism is (and maybe always was) just another weapon.

Healthy food mandate is a terrible idea. The main reason masks and vaccines are mandated is to protect others, because when you don’t vaccinate or wear a mask you spread the disease and overwhelm hospitals. Moreover the mask mandates are mostly backfiring anyways.
People would never allow a healthy food mandate. If you push and force people to eat healthy and exercise they’ll double down on junk food and sedentarism, just like people are resisting masks and vaccines.
In fact it’s already happening in the southern US, where “southern pride” = chicken fried steak, mayonnaise, red meat, sticks of butter in every meal. Obese people who are made fun of for ignoring their health, make obesity and health ignorance their identity and then go out of their way to make their health worse. I know there is healthy food and ways to workout in southern culture, but i never hear about them.
You can’t force somebody to lose weight - you can starve them, but as soon as they have access to food they’ll put the weight back. When they make the choice to lose weight, you can help them and make it easier for them, e.g. by not buying junk food. But you can’t force them. We need healthy food and exercise incentives, not mandates.

Bloomberg tv has a recent interview with the McDonald's ceo. He says that they sell what people want to buy and healthy food just doesn't sell.
