I'm surely not the only one who has a whole collection of domain names. As much as I dislike squatters when registering them, I probably happen to be one sometimes.
Comment and list domains that you can rent out to others to validate their ideas with an option to buy it out completely.
Or swap domain for others. (I'm tired of having the same portfolio).
Mine are:
hedgelet.com - (Finance / Hedging / Trading)
fed.pet - (Pet food / supplies / keep your pet happy)
propertytales.com - (Trustpilot / G2 for property movers / renters)
vectorfold.com - (Vector design / processing)
latent.vc - (Early stage vc firm)
I collect at a rate that far exceeds our production capacity to develop and have a nice collection stored at a relevant domain. It's not advertised or used, just an alternate management technique.
I own somewhere around 600 domains, with only 20% in any type of active state.
I think there are about 200 on the site, thinkfur.com and skycaver.com are probably my favorites that don't have a planned use yet. Awakera.com is pretty solid too.
Seobrandabledomains.com
gethub.co
parkings.co
(and many more)
I have collected over ~60 domain names over the years. And while I really hate traditional domain parking sites, I also did not like the fact that my domains were sitting there idle, doing nothing.
For those interested, I scratched my own itch by building Newsy
https://www.newsy.co
It turns your un-used domain names into an automated content aggregator (i.e. Reddit clone).
I connect my domain (HTTPS enabled), I give a few keywords that are relevant to the domain name or idea that I have which I would eventually want to use with the domain and Newsy finds and displays contents based on those (e.g. News, Videos etc).
We've built various features like comments, membership, votes, automated newsletters, integration with Twitter that help your site build traffic over time.
A few examples
https://www.getinfosec.news
https://www.heystartup.com
Would love for anyone else to give it a try.
Ha, just posted my Show HN with plenty of freely available brandable .com domains [1]
[1] https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=28441955
Spent a lot acquiring it, used to run a job board but now it's just a parking page. Would love to partner/lease/sell/get it used again:
GameDevelopers.com
I own a few I've built/meant to build interesting apps and SEO experiments:
toptropicalresorts.com
callstop.com
Been meaning to auction/sell them at some point or use them for new projects.
