I use a google doc that basically looks like github&#x27;s commit squares: <a href="https:&#x2F;&#x2F;www.ajnisbet.com&#x2F;blog&#x2F;tracking-goals" rel="nofollow">https:&#x2F;&#x2F;www.ajnisbet.com&#x2F;blog&#x2F;tracking-goals</a><p>Some advantages of this over the various apps I&#x27;ve tried:<p>* Free<p>* No ads<p>* Synchronised web + mobile apps<p>* No demoralising penalties for breaking a streak<p>* At a glance you can see both recent usage (which is most relevant) and long term usage (which is really motivating)

Using <a href="https:&#x2F;&#x2F;autopilot.ooo" rel="nofollow">https:&#x2F;&#x2F;autopilot.ooo</a> I’ve automated myself in both my morning and evening routines. I noticed I have exceptionally poor executive functioning in the morning, but now I don’t have to think at all for the first hour that I’m awake, I just follow my pre-programmed instructions written for me by my benevolent higher-functioning awake self in the past. Thanks me!

Streak. It was cheap and a one time purchase and I quite like the design. I also use Things for specific and granular tasks.
