Wow. This reads like a press release that Chia wrote. The only source is Chia and one of their board members.<p>The actual solution described is technically incoherent. It's all about "verifying data," but doesn't explain that no software (including blockchain) can verify that data about the physical world is complete and accurate.<p>They're essentially describing a Chia solution for something you could just as easily do with MD5 hashing (or an encrypted database with ACLs).<p>There's no way to guarantee that the climate data actually reflects what is happening. Blockchain cannot make guarantees about anything that doesn't occur on its own blockchain.
