There's a lot to think about there. But what strikes me the most is part about turning down two offers <i>before</i> signing a third. It's extremely surprising that someone would do that, but maybe not so much on the first big job.<p>Also, I'm a little unclear about why the author calls StackOverflow OnlyCodeFans. I mean, on OnlyFans, you get paid actual money if I'm not mistaken. StackOverflow just dispenses upvotes. Maybe at the time upvotes seemed just as good as money.<p>Finally, the thing I clicked on the link to find out, how the author turned a SO obsession into paid gigs (or didn't), was barely covered.
