A better YouTube Studio (https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=26390419)
I also use "YouTube Captions Search": it is a tool that allows me to search for a word in a video by typing in text, and returning timestamps where said word is pronounced in the video. I want it to be able to search across a channel or a playlist. As in, I go to a channel, then type in a word, and it returns the videos and the timestamps where said word is used. If you have a collection of 200 videos and some of them addressed a topic, I want to go directly to the ones where the topic was addressed, and go directly to the timestamps.
A better Spotify player: (https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=29250551) the current one sucks. I wish they'd just use YouTube.
A website where one could a visa appointment without refreshing the page: when you used to have access to some countries' ambassadors who had the grace and kindness to make that issue disappear, but then they move on to other countries, it sucks. I have a passport that gives me visa free access to countries that are a wreck and gets a "Haha, get the fuck out of here" from countries I need to go to. The website you use to schedule an appointment displays if there are openings. Openings are scarce, so you pay someone and give them your contact information, and they refresh the page all day long until there's an opening and they book an appointment for you. They have a list of customers and openings are fleeting. I wrote a prototype that does that automatically and this could be a service and a lucrative one, but I simply don't have the time. Practically all my time is put into the product we're building. My side project is the product we're building. My hobby is the product we're building, and I work on the product we're building to relax.
A service that could rebase my whole team to another country and take care of all the documents. I know of the existence of http://rebase.co/ but when I exchanged with Pieter Levels, he said the product doesn't do that and I'd do better to talk with a law firm with a high-touch treatment. I said I can't afford to be touched right now. The wait list is up until January and it sucks. Ideally, I'd like my team to be able to live elsewhere and have another mobility document than the passport they were born with that opens practically no port, except for fucking war zones or something.
