Previous submission: Dec 2019 [0]<p>It&#x27;s not about growth per se, rather about churn and age of code base, and patterns of code authorship. I remember quite some time ago a git visualization tool that drew a connected spring graph of commits over time, The nodes were classes (or maybe packages, i forget) and the links were annotated with commit author. You would see different areas of the graph get tons of activity at various times, and then activity die off and move somewhere else. I wish i remember what it was, was pretty cool.
