I really appreciate that this article talked about other factors like the ocean absorbing heat & carbon dioxide, & the threat that a warmer antarctic could potentially turn it from a net-carbon sink to a net-carbon-source.<p>The sea level rise is unbelievably terrifying. And that seems to have captured most of the press-coverage energy of the recent news/findings. But scoping the antarctic as a piece of a broader global system of climate, getting some systems thinking ideas going on rather than just "oceans rise doomsday zomg" is quite appreciated. Even though, yeah, oceans rise doomsday zomg. :/
