Its interesting that heterogeneous cores makes spinlocks less efficient. Is the effect on Apple silicon the same as for other ARM cpus?<p>Off topic:<p>For some reason this page uses ~200KB of javascript, but I don&#x27;t understand why there is any JS on this page besides analytics. It also puts up a message if javascript is disable.

It&#x27;s interesting, as a complete outsider to apple development, how much the suggestions in that article seem to blur the line between preemptive multitasking and cooperative multitasking.
