Peeking into a chrysalis, videos reveal growth of butterfly wing scales

I remember when I was young, a children's science book I had described what went on in a chrysalis as "the caterpillar's body breaks down into a kind of soup". I always suspected there was rather more to it than that... :-)

Neat! Was hoping to see a timelapse video of some sort, though.
