Dealing with the Talent Shortage

This is good advice on what I am seeing. As someone who does alot of interviewing, pitching and quoting projects, there seems to be a very pragmatic approach with a "jobs to be done" mentality in the toxic corporate space regarding hiring and tech labor. I have seen a switch from developing talent and the person to a form of cancel culture and finickiness in looking for the "perfect candidate" but focusing so hard on pragmatic skills they "cant find talent!". I had an interview where they asked about my front end skills, I name off a dozen libraries and tech I know (all the while doing more on screen video appearance time than Taylor Swift each week practically), only to be told "we dont use any of those do you just know css". Or how about Indeed.com rejecting or alerting on my resume just because I dont have "web design" on my resume. WTF take one look at my work, meet me as an individual, talk to me like a human and invest in developers cause we generate more value for a company than most roles and are beginning to be unappreciated. I feel they take advantage of our "labor of love" that it takes to keep this shit running.
