I am creating an SaaS product as a solo technical founder.
What I struggle the most is to create a plan or list of tasks to do to share the product with the world and start marketing it.
I am just interested in the coding part and I would like to find somebody as a contractor to create the landing page, start the mailing list, create social accounts, etc...
Edit: Obviously, paying for their work.
I am a technical founder and has the same mindset a year ago (I can’t sell, I don’t know how to market … etc).
Reality is, you’re the only one who can do these things at the early stage. It doesn’t have to be complicated or a go-to-market plan. Ignore all these jargons for the time being.
Here is a simple way to start:
1) what is the problem you’re solving?
Describe the problem in a few sentences, then search for keywords and see what people are searching for for those keywords. A good cheap tool to start with is keywords anywhere.
Then write quick blogs about the problem. Those blogs don’t have to be a 1000 words one. Even some quick ones will be enough to generate some traffic.
2) Who will benefit from your solution?
Whether you’re a B2B solution or a B2C, you need to test different channels (platforms) where you think your potential customers are.
You can post on Twitter, LinkedIn, instagram, Reddit … etc. see which one will bring more engagement and focus on that channel.
What is the SaaS? We can't know until you tell us what you're doing, then we can suggest where to go, as in, a B2B is very different from a B2C is very different than a B2B2C etc.
