It’s amusing in a sad moving kind of way when non rich people applaud the rich when they give away their wealth. Nothing to see here.
I dislike the ugliness of desperate demands of those who covet what isn’t theirs with determined entitlement. It is very unsettling. Even if there is a tinge of sadness to it.
True greed in its unadulterated form resides in those who want what they didn’t work for from those who did…I haven’t seen greed amongst poor people..only desperation. These people need help. Those who only want to separate the wealthy from their dollars don’t..You can’t beat compassion out of the rich. It will never work.
OTOH, in America, I only see lazy greed amongst those fattened by the hard work, blood, sweat and tears of others. And then there is the virtue signaling upper middle class who indulge and crave to be wealthy while publicly disowning the truly rich.
And of course…there is the sneaky stealthy rich who are protected by trusts and an army of lawyers while they work behind the scenes to transfer all the tax burden to the above mentioned middle class..who frankly probably deserve it. It’s like a rodent circus performed for an audience of honey badgers on a stage that is really a pit of vipers. Brava!!
