My company has been adverse to m&a in the past. I had an informational session recently for a position as a corporate strategy analyst in a new team that is spinning up to explore m&a plus venture capital (also unheard of for us). So it's interesting to see this article confirm this is market wide.
On a side note, I didn't officially apply to the analyst position because apparently my company uses corporate strategy as an executive pipeline, so sans a Wharton MBA I wouldn't fit in. Not to mention it's 75% project management and politicking. Not sure why they call it an analyst position.
