I've had burnout plenty of times in my life. The best actions I've ever taken in those periods is to clean my room and go for a walk.
Then I just write one line of code. I give myself permission to quit after that first line---and I definitely have. But there are times when I write the second line and the third. Eventually I've written something useful.
The driving mantra is that I don't feel bad about lethargy. It's ok to do nothing. I'm surprisingly productive when I've given myself permission to be lazy.
