I think there's a very unpleasant dystopic vibe about this scenario, when an individual is locked out from society with the flip of a switch (regardless of the reasons behind any sanctions of this type).
The only thing I can think about is, what will happen when tools like this are inevitably used for other reasons?
(...and there comes the downvote. This is not about the war, it's about a real-world example of Orwell's "unperson" phenomenon, and its implications)

It is very sad and terrible situation. I am really sorry to my all Russians friends who experience all these difficulties now. It shouldn't have happened to them.
The same happened to many other people from different nations. If you were an Iranian student, who was studying in the UK, it was very difficult for them to pay for studies because you couldn't transfer money from Iran. I know students who simply worked during summer illegally, without work permit and got paid with cash to be able to finance their studies and maintenance.

With Google translate:
> From March 10, Irina Elina will not be able to access her Russian bank account, a consequence of the sanctions against Russia. Irina Elina, who is a student in Uppsala, is preparing for the worst.
