Ugh, why is it always MySQL. Is it just momentum? I genuinely can’t think of a single reason I would ever want to use MySQL. I briefly considered Wordpress might be worth it but changed my mind when I realised that no I don’t actually want to repeatedly perform the stupid sacrifice to the gods of database stability and cross my fingers hoping any change doesn’t destroy my entire database schema because some random plugin I had to upgrade in order to stay secure has added a bug that means it’s table setup is longer idempotent and now it wiped out all its data… whoopsies, thanks Wordpress ecosystem! /sarcasm
