Sometimes living in the tech world that doesn’t matter to most people, building things I can’t converse with others over because they’re not relatable to 99.9% of everyone, it’s nice to just go outside and walk around.
Seeing people interacting and living can be a real treat after a week of being stuck in some codebase absorbed by constructs that only exist to me.

I love this! Just the fact of walking with no purpose helps me think so much clearly. I often think a lot of my work gets done on walks. Sadly I don't do it enough.
You might find this app that someone told me about interesting: https://deriveapp.com/s/v2/about/
It helps exploring neighbourhoods in more spontaneous ways. It essentially gives you tasks (go to a crowd, follow a person with a dog, take a right on the next street). You follow it and then see where you end up! Always fun to discover places you would normally not visit.

Highly recommend getting a dog to assist with this. I've never learned so much about my neighbourhood or explored as much as with my dog. Fido has to walk every day, and I get bored walking the same route.
